Andreas Mayer (footballer born 1980)

Andreas Mayer (* December 15, 1980 in Nördlingen ) is a German football player.

Career

Mayer started with the game of football in the youth divisions of FC Schlossberg and TSV Nördlingen. In 1999, he left and joined the Association of Nördlingen division Sportfreunde Dorfmerkingen. At the end of his first season promotion to the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg has been reached. There, Mayer developed a support of his team and scored in his first league season eleven goals in 31 games. After his second league season (21 missions, 4 goals) and then re- relegation, he moved in the summer of 2002 to the third division VfR Aalen. In Aalen Mayer came out at any time via a role as a reserve player. So he came in two and a half years, although 67 Regional operations, of which, however, only eight over the full season. Overall, he scored only two goals and eventually he moved to the winter break of the season 2004/ 05 to Oberliga TSV Crailsheim and scored in the second round in 13 games six goals. For the 2005/06 season played Mayer SSV Ulm 1846 and made ​​the breakthrough. With 26 goals, he was top scorer in the Oberliga Baden -Württemberg and was also the final of the WFV Cup, which was lost to the Stuttgarter Kickers on penalties.

At the beginning of the second division season 2007/ 08 Mayer were two brief appearances against the Wehen and TSV 1860 München. He was briefly out of contract and returned back in August for a year for SSV Ulm 1846.

Since the season 2010/11 Andreas Mayer plays for the regional league team KSV Hessen Kassel. In the early summer of 2012 Mayer extended the contract with the Hessians as leading players for two years.
