Andreas Müller (footballer)

Andreas Müller ( born December 13, 1962 in Stuttgart ) is a retired German footballer and current official.

Career

As a player

He played from 1983 to 2000 in a total of 338 games in the Bundesliga for VfB Stuttgart, Hannover 96 and FC Schalke 04 VfB By 1984 he became German champion and with Schalke won the midfielder in 1997 the UEFA Cup. He also reached with the VfB Stuttgart the final of the DFB - Pokal in 1986.

In 1991 he also scored the goal of the year.

As an official

After his career as a player Müller got into the management of FC Schalke 04 and was there from the resignation of Rudi Assauer on 17 May 2006 worked as manager until he was on leave on March 9, 2009.

On 1 January 2011 Müller took over 30 percent of the consulting firm GoalSky AG and was appointed there with effect from 1 July 2011 and to the Board.

In September 2012, Müller was Manager at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. On April 2, 2013, and were relieved coach Marco Kurz of their duties.

Since January 2014 he is the successor of Helmut Schulte as sports director of SK Rapid Wien.
