Andreas Nödl
Andreas Nödl (born 28 February 1987 in Vienna) is an Austrian ice hockey player who is under contract with EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Hockey League the highest since November 2013.
Career
Andreas Nödl began his career at the Vienna EV, where he went through the entire youth department. During the NHL Entry Draft 2006 Nödl was selected in the second round, when a total of 39 players from the Philadelphia Flyers. Previously, he spent two years with the Sioux Falls Stampede in the United States Hockey League. After Thomas Vanek, who played there for three years, Nödl was the second Austrian in the club from South Dakota. He then spent two years in the NCAA team the St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud State University Huskies in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Towards the end of the 2007/ 08 Nödl was appointed to the AHL farm team the Flyers, the Philadelphia Phantoms, where he made his debut in professional hockey. Although he started in the AHL with the Phantoms the 2008/09 season, the Austrian was ordered on 21 October 2008 by the Flyers in the NHL team. 29 November 2011 Nödl was set by the Philadelphia Flyers to the Waiverliste and selected by the Carolina Hurricanes. After a lockout in the North American NHL Nödl gave one to November 4, 2012 limited guest performance at HC Innsbruck. There, he scored in 17 games a total of 15 points scorer for the Tyrolean. Then he returned to the NHL and played until the end of the 2012/13 season continues in Carolina. Then he left after a total of 195 games ( 15 goals, 21 assists) in North America towards Europe and graduated first try- outs at the Swiss associations Lausanne HC and Kloten Flyers, but eventually switched back to Austria in October 2013 for KAC. There he had only a short-term contract until November and then moved within the Austrian Hockey League for EC Red Bull Salzburg, where he has under contract.
Internationally
For Nödl Austria took part in the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2003, 2004 and 2005. In addition, he was in the squad of Austria at the U20 Junior B World Cup 2005 and the U20 World Youth Championship in 2004.
