Andreas Peter Berggreen

Andreas Berg Peter Green ( born March 2, 1801 in Copenhagen, † November 8, 1880 ibid ) was a Danish composer and organist.

Green Mountain initially studied law before turning to music. He was a pupil of Christopher Ernst Friedrich Weyse. In 1838 he became organist of Treenighed - 's Church and singing teacher in 1843 at the Metropolitan School Copenhagen. Since 1859 he has held the office of inspector singing for the public schools of Denmark.

In addition to several incidental music, a cantata, piano pieces and songs he published the folk song collections folk Sange og Melodier ( 1842-71 ) and Melodier til Salmebog (1853 ).
