Andreas Ringhofer

Andreas " Ringo " Ring Hofer ( born December 19, 1970 in Schladming ) is an Austrian ski mountaineer, skiers, cyclists, mountain runners and marathoners.

Life

Ringhofer, who is a successful ski mountaineers for years, was 12 years member of the Austrian national team in cross country and is also a successful cyclists and runners. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1991, he finished second in the 4x10 km relay with black, Stadlober and Marent sixth place achieved in the pursuit at the Olympic Winter Games in Albertville in 1992 to 18th place and took part in several World Cup races. In mountain running he took, among others in 1989, 1990 and 2003 in part at the International Mountain Running Grand Prix in Kitzbühel.

In ski mountaineering he holds the Hochwurzen mountain running since 2004 with a time of 48:34,1 minutes the track record of the gentlemen at the Champ or Cramp since 2006 with 1h 16 min 56sec. Beginning in the fall of 2004 led health restrictions to performance degradation. Nevertheless, he was able to successfully compete in races through enormous performance overhead, among others, he started in 2005 as a defender of the Mountain Attack with three broken ribs and other injuries. Since its formation by the ASKIMO he joined the Austrian national team in competition ski mountaineering.

He lives in Schladming, is married and has one daughter. Professionally, he is a police officer.
