Andreas Sandt

Andreas Sandt ( born November 5, 1962) is a former German football goalkeeper.

Career

The then 17 -year-old youth keeper Andreas Sandt, who had been standing in the summer of 1980 in the final of the German A Youth Championship, was allowed as of 22 matchday of the 1980/81 season take as a replacement for the injured Peter Sandhofe on the bench Schalke Place. Three weeks later joined the case of emergency, had to be replaced as the main goalkeeper Norbert Nigbur due to a forehead injury in the 70th minute. So Sandt came against Arminia Bielefeld, against the A- youth team Sandt 24 hours in advance to win 3-1 to his first and only Premier League game in which he was, however, not overcome. After this season Sandt moved to the amateurs from VfL Bochum, where he, however, from the 1982/83 season with Markus Croonen had a strong competitor in the battle for a place in goal.
