Andreas Toba

Andreas Toba ( born October 7, 1990 in Hannover ) is a German gymnast.

Andreas Toba, son of the former Romanian-German Turners Marius Toba, is a student and lives in Hanover. He starts for TK Hannover and is coached by Reinhard Rückriem. Toba was successful already as a junior. The European Youth Championships 2008 in Lausanne, he won the bronze medal with the team and also finished seventh on high bar and finished ninth in the all around.

For men, Toba occurs nationally since 2009 in the power range and moved into the national team. At the German Championships of the year, he finished sixth in the all around, a year later the seventh. In 2011 he won bronze on high bar and missed the first national medal in fourth place in the all around, on the parallel bars and pommel horse more medals. In 2012, he missed it again as a fourth of the multi- combat, but was runner-up on the high bar and rings as well as third parties on the pommel horse. He also denied the first major international competitions for men and reached in Doha at the Challenge Cup fifth place on the rings. At the national qualifier for the 2012 Olympic Games in London Toba finished fourth and qualified for the games. At the European Championships in 2013 Toba reached the seventh place in the all around.
