Andreas Wecker

Andreas Wecker ( born January 2, 1970 in Staßfurt ) is a former German gymnast. His specialty was the stretching device.

Already won at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul alarm clock with the East German team the silver medal in the team all-around, for which he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver. At the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992 he won bronze on pommel horse and the rings, on the high bar even silver. His greatest sporting achievement was the gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta on high bar.

Alarm clock was on the high bar champion in 1995, European champion in 1989 and 1992, and European Youth Champion in 1988. He received between 1989 and 1995 a total of 14 more medals on different devices and with the team.

In German Championships of the DTB and the DTV, he won more than 40 titles in the all around and on the various devices. 1989 alarm clock the last GDR athlete of the year.

After the end of his active career Alarm Clock founded a company that organizes gymnastic events.
