Andreas Wels

Andreas Wels ( born January 1, 1975 in Schoenbeck ) is a former German diver. He won a total of 13 medals at World Swimming Championships, European Swimming Championships and Olympic Games.

The launching of the SV Halle Andreas Wels won his first international title in 1997 in Seville as European champion in springboard diving from the 1- meter board, from the 3- meter board, he won silver. He became vice European champion from the 1- meter board in Istanbul in 1999. At the European Championships in Berlin in 2002, he won the 3- meter board silver, 2004 in Madrid gold. Catfish participated in three Olympic Games in part: he was in Atlanta Twelfth 1996, 2000 and 2004 in Sydney Tenth 23 in Athens.

He also became Vice World Cup winner from the 3- meter board in 1999.

In synchronized diving from the 3- meter board he could with his partner Tobias Schellenberg achieve great success.
