Andreas Wessels

Andreas Wessels ( born July 6, 1964) is a former German football player.

Career

Wessels grew up on the Lower Rhine in the Kleve district and began his footballing career at SV Uedem. About the SC Kleve 63 he came to the then Oberliga SV Viktoria Goch, where he was first-choice goalkeeper of the men's team. In 1986 he moved to VfL Bochum. First, he was number two behind Ralf Zumdick. During the 1989/90 season he became the first-choice goalkeeper.
