Andree Welge ( born May 6, 1972 in Bremen ) is a German darts player. He is one of several German championships, World Cups in both large Dartorganisation and more than 30 missions in the national team to the most successful darts players in Germany.

Career

Welge, who has been playing since his youth darts, won in 1991 with the German Masters in Bad Soden his first major tournament in the German Dartverband ( DDV). In the following years, he added various national victories, including three more at the German Masters, which is a record here, added. In addition to these ranking tournament successes, Welge secured in the years 2002 and 2008, and in 2004 in a double, the title " German Champion ".

In 2001, Welge was the first time in an international tournament in the final. In the Dutch Open, the largest dart tournament in the world, he only lost in the final of the Dutchman Raymond van Barneveld. In 2004 he was again at the tournament in the final, but now in a double. Together with his partner Tomas Seyler he could win the title this time also. For his first finals Welge received a wildcard for the BDO World Championship, which next to him so far only two other Germans succeeded. With his wildcard for the World Championships PDC in 2006, he is the only German who already was allowed to take part in two World Cups.

Welge is married and has one daughter.
