Andrei Lomakin
Andrei Lomakin Vyacheslavovich (Russian: Андрей Вячеславович Ломакин; born April 3, 1964 in Woskressensk, Russian SFSR, † December 9, 2006 in Detroit, Michigan, United States) was a Russian ice hockey player.
Career
The 61- times capped player celebrated his biggest success at the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988, when he won the gold medal with the team of the USSR. In 1988 he was inducted into the Russian and Soviet Hockey Hall of Fame.
NHL Entry Draft 1991, he was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the seventh round in a total of 138 positions. When the polar bear Berlin technically strong " miracle Russe" is unforgettable. On November 10, 1995, he shot the Preussen Devils from almost single-handedly, to 3:4 when he nV three goals and an assist, while contributing the decisive goal made in the extension.
Andrei Lomakin died on 9 December 2006 of cancer.
