Andrei Sidyakin

Andrei Anatoljevich Sidjakin (Russian: Андрей Анатольевич Сидякин; born April 20, 1979 in Ufa, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player, who was last at Severstal Cherepovets in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Sidjakin began his career in the team of Salavat Yulaev Ufa of the Russian Super League, for whom he played until 2002. In the NHL Entry Draft 1997, he was drafted in the eighth round to total 202 instead of the Montreal Canadiens. In 2002 the move to Severstal Cherepovets, with whom he was Russian runners-up. A year later he left the team and went back to his home club Salavat Yulaev Ufa, for whom he played until 2010 - five years initially in the Super League and from the 2008/09 season in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established.
