Andrei Zygmantovich

Andrej Syhmantowitsch (White Russian Андрэй Зыгмантовіч; Russian Андрей Викентьевич Зыгмантович / Andrei Wikentjewitsch Sygmantowitsch; born December 2, 1962 in Minsk) is a former Soviet- Belarusian football player and current football coach.

Andrej Syhmantowitsch belonged from 1981 to 1991, the first team of Dynamo Minsk and has been with this team in 1982 surprisingly Soviet masters. In 1987, he was with his team in the final of the Soviet Cup against Dynamo Kiev. Minsk lost the game on penalties. After playing in the 1991/92 season in the Netherlands for FC Groningen, the defensive midfielder in 1992 he returned to Dynamo Minsk. In 1993 he moved to Spain to Racing Santander where he ended his playing career after the 1995/96 season.

For the Soviet national team played Syhmantowitsch 1984-1990 a total of 36 times and scored three goals. He participated in the 1990 World Cup in Italy and came twice in this tournament are used; in the last game against Cameroon, he scored a goal.

In the years 1992 and 1994 Syhmantowitsch was elected Belarusian Footballer of the Year. Between 1994 and 1996 he came to nine appearances for the White Russian national football team.

His career as a coach, he began in 2001 when Belarusian club Naftan Nawapolazk, later, he served as head coach of Dynamo Minsk, supervised the Belarusian U17 national team and the Lithuanian club FBK Kaunas. Currently, Andrej Syhmantowitsch coach of the second team of the Russian club Sibir Novosibirsk.
