Andrej Hauptman

Andrej Hauptman ( born May 15, 1975 in Ljubljana ) is a retired Slovenian cyclist.

Andrej Hauptman began his professional career in 1999 at Vini Caldirola. The following year he won the Grand Prix de Fourmies. The UCI Road World Championships 2001 in Lisbon, the third in the road race behind Oscar Freire, Paolo Bettini and was. He was also in the same year in the two World Cup races HEW cyclassics and Paris -Tours each fifth. In the 2002 World Cup in Zolder, Belgium, he was fourth at this time.

Twice - Olympic Games and in 2004 launched Hauptman at the Olympic Games in the road race: In 2000, he was ranked 24, 2005 in fifth place. Three times he took part in the Tour de France, but never drove it to an end. In 2005 he ended his cycling career.
