Andrej Hebar

Andrej Hebar ( born September 7, 1984 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who stands in October 2011 IF Troja Ljungby - in HockeyAllsvenskan under contract.

Career

Hebar began his education in Slovenia, but moved early to Sweden, where he spent two years in the youth teams of Västra Frölunda HC, before he came to the Czech Republic in 2002. There he played for several teams in different performance levels - including for the HC Havířov and the HC Ocelari Třinec in the Extraliga and again Havířov and the HC Slezan Opava and HC Olomouc in the 1st League - but could not for a long time to European excellence prevail and therefore returned to Slovenia in 2006 finally back. Previously, he had played during his time in the Czech Republic yet again for the HDD Olimpija Ljubljana City and its neighbors HK Slavija Ljubljana in the Slovenian Hockey League and was in season 2002/ 03 for the first time with Olimpija Ljubljana Slovenian champion.

After his final return to Slovenia in 2006 he first ran on for his hometown club HDD Olimpija Ljubljana, with which he was again champion in the 2006/07 season before he signed a contract with local rivals HK Jesenice. In the following three years he played for the club, both in the Austrian Hockey League, as well as each then in the playoffs of the Slovenian Hockey League and has over time become an important part of the team and lead player and was with the team in 2008, 2009 and 2010, three times in a row Slovenian champion. However, in the spring of 2010 there was an uproar in the game, several players of the club were palpable after winning the national championship title against the coach. Hebars role in this incident was not known in detail, but he was among the players who were soon released by the club.

In the summer of 2010 he returned to Olimpija Ljubljana. From January to March 2011 was followed by a two- month engagement at the Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League, for whom he scored three goals and three assists in ten games, after which he again joined Olimpija Ljubljana. In October 2011, he moved to IF Troja Ljungby - from the HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division.

Internationally

For Slovenia Hebar took at junior level at the U18 World Junior Championships Division II in 2001 and the U18 Junior World Championship Division I in 2002 and the U20 World Junior Championships Division I in 2002, 2003 and 2004 in part.

In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships Division I in 2009 and 2010, at the World Championship of Division IA in 2012 and at the World Championships in 2006, 2008 and 2011.
