Andrej Hoteev
Andrej Hoteev (Russian: Андрей Хотеев / Andrei Chotejew, 2nd December 1946 in Leningrad ) is a Russian pianist living in Germany.
Life
Andrej Hoteev studied at the Rimsky- Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg and at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Lev Naumov. in Moscow. In 1983 he made his debut in the Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. It was followed by other appearances in Russia. The artistic encounters with Sviatoslav Richter in June 1985 in St. Petersburg gave the decisive impulse for the pianistic style of Andrei Hoteev. From 1990, he was able to give, on the recommendation of Valery Gergiev concerts in the Netherlands and in Germany.
1993 undertook Hoteev his first European tour through Russia, Britain, Germany, Belgium and Spain and made his first CD recording in France. The St. Petersburg television transferred in October 1993 with a concert Hoteev and the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra from the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic. The program included a revision of the 3rd Piano Concerto by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with explanations of Hoteev who had rediscovered the original version of the three-movement work on the manuscripts of composers. In the same year he moved with his family to Hamburg.
1995 guested Hoteev in France. He appeared in the Salle Pleyel in Paris and at the Montpellier Festival of Radio France, plays with the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre National de Montpellier and Paris Concerts Lamaureux symphony orchestra.
Andrej Hoteev works regularly with conductors such as Thomas Sanderling, Vladimir Fedosejew, Andrey Boreyko, Eri Klas, Avi Ostrovsky, Woldemar Nelsson, Pavel Kogan, Ravil Martynov, Vladislav Tschernuschenko and Vladimir Altshuller. He also occurs as an accompanist of Sergei Aleksashkin and Robert Holl. Since 2006 Andrej Hoteev works with soprano Anja Silja together we realized with her multiple projects.
Became known Hoteevs world premiere of the cycle of the three piano concertos and the " Fantaisie de Concert " for piano and orchestra by Tchaikovsky, which he presented in November 1996 in its original version in Moscow and in this 1998 version - supplemented by the "Hungarian Gypsy Airs " by Franz Liszt / Sophie Menter in Tchaikovsky's orchestration and the " Allegro in C minor " - grossed in a CD recording.
In 2006, he realized at the Great Hall of the Laeiszhalle Hamburg a separate project from colored light, image and music. As a soloist with the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra under Andrey Boreyko, he presents the reconstructed color light score by Alexander Scriabin's Prometheus. Le Poème du feu and the color light and image score by Wassily Kandinsky Modest Mussorgsky to " Pictures at an Exhibition ".
2012 used Andrej Hoteev at the Usedom Music Festival together with the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Thomas Sanderling the original score of the concerto for piano and string orchestra by Alfred Schnittke.
Hoteev is married with Russian pianist Olga Hoteeva. With her he published in 2012 a CD with 22 unknown, rediscovered by him in his studies Tchaikovsky original transcriptions by Sergei Rachmaninov for piano 4 hands by Tchaikovsky's ballet The Sleeping Beauty.
