Andrej Krementschouk

Andrej Krementschouk (Russian: Андрей Кременчук, Andrei Krementschuk; born 2 May 1973 in Gorky, Soviet Union ) is a Russian photographer. He lives and works in Leipzig. From 2009 to 2011, he was a member of the Berlin-based agency Ostkreuz.

Andrej Krementschouk (now Nizhny Novgorod ) born in 1973 in Gorky. After the eighth grade, he left school and trained as a restorer of icons and metal art objects at the University of Art and Restoration in Suzdal. From 1991 to 1995 he studied at the conservatory in Vladimir, at the Department of Ethnomusicology. He put the diploma as a choral conductor.

From 1991 to 1997 he worked as a freelance goldsmith and restorer of icons. Andrej Krementschouk studied Illustration and Communication Design with an emphasis on photography at Ute Mahler at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg.

His first book, No Direction Home received several awards and international attention.
