Andrej Miklavc

Andrej Miklavc ( born June 5, 1970 in Kranj ) is a Slovenian former alpine skier, who was largely specializes in the slalom.

Biography

First international experience gained Miklavc in the years 1987 to 1989 in three appearances at the Junior World Championships, where he scored three times in ninth place. Although he had still boast no countable income in the Ski World Cup, he was allowed to participate in the Olympic Winter Games in 1992. On December 6, 1992, he took as 22 of the slalom in Val d'Isere, the first World Cup points. The best performance in the following season, he scored at the Olympic Winter Games 1994 with the tenth place in the slalom.

At the beginning of 1995 Miklavc came in the World Cup for the first time in front in the top ten. He had 1995/96 The most successful season. Surprisingly, he won on November 26, 1995 slalom in Park City. It was followed by four other top -10 classifications, but also many failures.
