Andreus

Andreus (Greek Ἀνδρεύς ) is a figure from Greek mythology.

He is the son of the Thessalian river god Peneus and founder of the city of Orchomenus, whose area was named after him Andreis. He married Euippe and has a son with her named Eteocles.

Andreus is also known as the founder and namesake of the island of Andros. ; whether this is the same Andreus is uncertain.
