Andrew Aitken (footballer born 1909)

Liddell Andrew Aitken ( born August 25, 1909 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England; † October 1984) was an English football goalkeeper.

Career

Aitken played in the North Eastern League for Wallsend, before he moved in March 1930 in the Football League First Division for FC Liverpool; eight months previously his Wallsend teammate Charlie Thompson had taken the same route. In Liverpool Aitken had little use opportunities to his only duty wager he arrived on December 27, 1930 in a 3-3 draw against Blackburn Rovers behind Arthur Riley and Elisha Scott. His time at Liverpool ended abruptly after he had broken in April 1931 in a reserve game the foot. After working at the amateur clubs Mickley and Newburn Athletic, he returned for the season 1935/36, again in the Football League back, but when Drittdivisionär Hartlepools United it was also in a league use.
