Andrew Bogut

Andrew Michael Bogut ( born November 28, 1984 in Melbourne) is an Australian NBA player of Croatian origin. He was the first pick of the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Draft 2005.

First gained international attention Bogut at the Junior World Cup in 2003, when he led Australia to win the title and was named most valuable player. He then joined the Australian Institute of Sport, where he had been a member since 2002, the University of Utah.

Bogut was selected in the NBA Draft in 2005 at the 1st digit of the Milwaukee Bucks. He became a regular player and selected First Team after his first season in the NBA All- Rookie. He also reached with the Bucks the play-offs, which he missed the following season, despite increasing his personal statistics. In the 2007 /08 season he was able to increase his particular skills in a shot block.

With the Australian national Bogut took part in the Olympic Games in 2004 and 2008 and the 2006 World Cup.

After he was unable to repeat his old performances due to some injuries for the season 2011/2012 Bogut was transferred from the Bucks to the Golden State Warriors.
