Andrew Bree

Andrew Bree ( born March 16, 1981 in Helen 's Bay, County Down, Northern Ireland) is an Irish swimmer. His specialist discipline is the breaststroke.

Andrew Bree starts for the club Ards, currently trained but in Tennessee / USA. In 2000 he started for the first time for Ireland in the Olympics, but did not have the preliminaries out. He was able to win three years later at the Short Course European Championships in Dublin his biggest success so far. Buoyed by the home advantage, he won over his special track 200 - meter breaststroke silver behind Ian Edmond. For the Olympic Games in Athens, he could not qualify. At the 2006 Commonwealth Games he swam for Northern Ireland starting a national record 200 - meter breaststroke.

Bree took part in the 2008 Olympic Games. His participation was, however, been questionable for a positive drug test result for 2007 first.
