Andrew Breitbart

Andrew Breitbart ( born February 1, 1969 in Westwood, Los Angeles, California, † March 1, 2012 ) was an American editor, blogger and conservative activist, particularly in the context of the right-wing populist Tea Party movement.

Life

Breitbart was the adopted son of Gerald and Arlene Breitbart.

He was formerly an employee of the website Drudge Report and 2005 co-founded the (then still mostly conservative ) online newspaper The Huffington Post.

With its own websites (among biggovernment.com, bigpeace.com, bigjournalism.com, breitbart.tv ) Breitbart was known as a fighter against the American "liberals" and leftists. These included his interests in various scandals, so the order of the Congressman Anthony Weiner, who eventually led to its resignation to the dismissal of the employee in the Ministry of Agriculture, Shirley Sherrod, with whom he remained until his death in a dispute, and the to the organization ACORN, which eventually led to its decline. In all cases, Breitbart media materials launched to the public, cut together, sometimes dramatically, and the original context distorting.

Breitbart also appeared frequently on the Fox News Channel as a commentator.

2012 died Breitbart at the age of 43 years unexpectedly in Los Angeles. The official cause of death was given on 20 April 2012 from coroner of Los Angeles County with heart failure and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with coronary arteriosclerosis -like herd. The Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich praised Breitbart. Santorum called Breitbart's death a great loss Romney called him a fearless conservatives.

On March 6, 2012, he was buried in a Jewish cemetery in West Los Angeles.

A documentary film about him entitled Hating Breitbart was published on 19 October, 2012.
