Andrew Britton

Andrew Britton ( born January 6, 1981 in Peterborough, England, † March 18, 2008 in Durham, North Carolina ) was a British -born American writer.

Britton spent his formative years in England and Camlough, Northern Ireland. Together with his family, he emigrated to the United States at the age of seven years. After three years of military service Britton studied at the University of North Carolina economy and psychology, but not completed his studies until his death, he devoted much of his time to writing. He lived in Raleigh ( North Carolina). During his lifetime, three books were published by Britton, all of which are assigned to the spy thriller genre. Some critics he has been called " the next Tom Clancy ". At the time of his death Britton was working on his fourth book.

Britton died in March 2008 at the age of 27 years as a complete surprise to a previously undiagnosed heart condition.
