Andrew Buchan
Andrew Buchan (born 19 February 1979 in Stockport, England ) is a British actor.
Life
Andrew Buchan grew up in Lostock Boltoner district and attended high school in Horwich. Prior to his acting career, he practiced first of a number of other professions and worked, among other things at an amusement park and at Manchester Airport. In 2001 he joined the University of Durham from a successful degree in languages . He then attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art
As an actor he is active both in the field of stage and television. In 2005 he appeared in the role of Mercutio in the play Romeo and Juliet at the Theater of Manchester. His television career began in 2006 when he appeared in the series as Jane Eyre St. John Rivers in a sequence. In 2007 he played in the eight-part television production Party Animals one of the main roles. In the same year he was also included in the cast of the drama series Cranford with and could be seen on the side of well-known stars such as Judi Dench, Imelda Staunton and Eileen Atkins.
From 2008 to 2009 he played in the ITV series The Fixer the lead role of John Mercer. In the same year he also took a supporting role in the biopic Nowhere Boy, which describes the life story of John Lennon. Also in 2009 he played in the four-part BBC series Garrow 's Law, the main role of the historical politician William Garrow. For 2011, it is for the German -British co-production Laconia, which describes the sinking of the ship of the same name, engaged for one of the lead roles.
