Andrew Byrnes

James Andrew Byrnes (born 22 May 1983; Toronto, Ontario ) is a Canadian rower, who won the 2008 Olympic gold medal in the eights.

Byrnes won in 2005 with the Canadian aft a bronze medal at the U23 World Championships. The World Rowing Championships in 2006, he joined together with Derek O'Farrell and coxswain Brian Price at the two with coxswain and also received the bronze medal. 2007 moved Byrnes in the eight, who won the World Cup regatta in Lucerne and Linz and also successfully won at the World Rowing Championships 2007 in Munich GStart title. 2008, the eight won again in Lucerne. At the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing won the Canadian eight gold in the occupation of Andrew Byrnes, Kyle Hamilton, Malcolm Howard, Adam Kreek, Kevin Light, Ben Rutledge, Dominic Seiterle, Jake Wetzel and cox Brian Price. The World Rowing Championships in 2009 and World Rowing Championships in 2011, Byrnes was with the Canadian aft a silver and a bronze medal, and in between was a seventh place finish at the World Rowing Championships 2010. During the Olympic Rowing Regatta 2012 at the Dorney Lake won the Canadian roller silver behind the German boat.
