Andrew Oldcorn

Andrew Oldcorn ( born March 31, 1960 in Bolton, Lancashire, England ) is a professional golfer playing for Scotland on the European Tour.

Career

He grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland. After a successful amateur career by winning the English Amateur Championship in 1982 and the appointment to the team of Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup during 1983 - where he all four of his matches victorious designed - Oldcorn was in the same year of professional golfers.

He won the 1983 European Touring School and qualified impressively for the European Tour. Oldcorn ill with the chronic fatigue syndrome for two years before he found his form again in the 1990s and so far has seen three tournament victories on the European Tour. The most prestigious success came in 2001 by winning the Volvo PGA Championship before Angel Cabrera and Nick Faldo.

Andrew Oldcorn is married to his wife, Kirstin since 1999. They have two children and live in Edinburgh. He is one of the most popular players on the tour and is also more and more be heard as a co- commentator for television broadcasts of major golf tournaments.
