Andrew Parrott

Andrew Parrott ( born March 10, 1947 in Walsall ) is an English choral conductor and musicologist.

Parrott studied at Oxford University, where he focused on focused on the historical performance practice of the 16th and 17th centuries. He is known as the head of the Taverner Choir, Consort and Players. His publication Bach Choir: found the new understanding in the art, an extraordinary resonance. In this document it represents the initiated by Joshua Rifkin theory that Bach would have performed his concert church music with a vocal quartet or vocal quintet.
