Andrew Taylor ( born 1951 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire ) is a British writer.
Life
Andrew Taylor grew up in East Anglia, the Fen Country. He studied at the Universities of Cambridge and London. After that, he held various professions, including boat builder, teacher, librarian and payroll accountant. In 1981, he then turned to full time writing to.
He has previously written about 20 books, mostly crime novels and thrillers. He also wrote several books youth. His first novel, Caroline Minuscule reached up to four million listeners as a radio drama series on BBC Radio 4.
In Germany he was known primarily for the Lydmouth series and the Roth trilogy. The special thing about the trilogy is that the story of the families Appleyard and Byfield is told backwards.
He also writes articles and reviews about crime fiction for various newspapers such as The Independent. Many of his books have been published only in Britain and the United States.
Andrew Taylor lives with his wife Caroline, children Sarah and William and two cats named Max and Tom in the Forest of Dean on the border between England and Wales.
