Andrichsfurt

Andrichsfurt is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Ried in the Innviertel with 712 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Ried.

Geography

Andrichsfurt lies between 400 and 500 m altitude in Innviertel. The expansion is 5.1 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 5.7 km. The total area is 12.3 km ². 9.8% of the area is forested, 80.5 % of the area is used for agriculture.

Villages in the municipality are Albertsedt, Andrichsfurt, Baumgart Ling, ford, Gehn Bach, Irger, Krammern, Moosedt, Pötting, Pesenreit, Raschhof, Steingreß, Stelzham, Walchshausen and Weilhart.

Katastralgemeinden: Andrich Furth ( 380.86 ha), Frauenhub ( 316,36 ha), Pötting ( 538.04 ha).

History

Since the establishment of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place was Bavarian until 1779 and came to the Peace of Teschen with the Innviertel (then Innbaiern ) to Austria. During the Napoleonic Wars shortly Bavarian, it belongs since 1814 finally returned to Austria above the Enns. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the village belonged to the Upper Danube. After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria.

Official description of the municipality coat of arms: In gold on green Dreienberg three green reed stems with black piston. The municipality colors are yellow - green.

Culture and sights

Parish Church of St. Trinity: A Gothic church from the second half of the 15th century with a single nave, three-pile nave and a choir zweijochigen. A dreijochiges aisle and stems were planted on the southern side Tuscan columns in the middle of the 17th century. The device comes mainly from the 18th century.
