Andris Bērziņš (Latvian Prime Minister)

Andris Berzins (* August 4, 1951 in Riga) is a Latvian politician of the party Latvian Way ( Latvijas Cels ) and former Prime Minister.

Life

After school he studied history and philosophy.

Berzins was appointed on 3 August 1993 to the labor minister in the cabinet of Valdis Birkavs. Subsequently, he was on September 15, 1994 to December 21, 1995 Deputy Prime Minister and Welfare Minister in the government of Māris Gailis.
