Andris Å ics

Andris SICS (born 12 May 1985 in Sigulda ) is a Latvian luger.

Andris SICS began at the age of ten years with the sport of luge. Since 2003 he is a member of the Latvian bobsleigh team. Together with his older brother Juris he is a member since 2005 of the extended world leaders. His first major success was winning the bronze medal in the team competition at the 2006 European Championship in Winterberg. In February 2006, he represented his country for the first time in Turin at the Olympic Winter Games. With the team he surprisingly won the gold medal at the Luge World Championship 2008 in Cesana.

In doubles, he won with his brother Juris at the 2010 Winter Olympics silver medal and the bronze medal in 2014.
