Andriy Biba

Andriy Biba (Ukrainian Андрій Андрійович Біба; born August 10, 1937 in Kiev ) is a former Soviet football player and football coach.

Andriy Biba was 1957-1967 regular players of the first team of Dynamo Kiev. He won with this team three times ( 1961.1966 and 1967 ) the Soviet Championship and 1964 and 1966, the Soviet Cup. In the 1960s, he was in the Soviet Union as one of the best players in the midfield and in 1966 elected to the Soviet Footballer of the Year.

Despite his success with Dynamo Kiev Biba were held to a use for the Soviet national team, and indeed on 4 July 1965 in a friendly against Brazil in Moscow. He came in addition to four missions for the Soviet Olympic team.

Biba played from 1968 to 1969 for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and then to 1970 for Desna Chernihiv in the second highest Soviet league.

After his active career as a footballer, he worked from 1972 in the coaching staff of Dynamo Kiev. In later years he coached several unterklassige Ukrainian clubs. For several years, Biba is back in an honorary capacity for Dynamo Kiev.
