Andrushivka

Andruschiwka (Ukrainian Андрушівка; Russian Андрушёвка / Andruschjowka, Polish Andruszówka ) is located Zhytomyr a city in the Zhytomyr Oblast in Ukraine on the river Hujwa, about 36 kilometers southeast of the Oblasthauptstadt.

The town was first mentioned in writing in 1683, until 1793, the then Andruszówka was under Polish rule, lay in the province of Kiev and then came under Russian rule from 1797 to the province of Kiev.

1975 was the place the city statute granted, but before that the place was already an urban-type settlement, but was called since 1859 Andruschowka ( Андрушовка ) and was renamed in 1975.
