Andy Dawson

Andrew Stuart "Andy" Dawson ( born October 20, 1978 in Northallerton ) is an English football player on the position of the defender, who currently stands at Scunthorpe United. His brothers Michael Dawson and Kevin Dawson also play professional football.

Career

Dawson began his career at Nottingham Forest, but did not installed there, after which he was given to Scunthorpe United. However, he did not return to Nottingham Forest back, but signed a contract for four years at Scunthorpe United. On 16 May 2003 joined Dawson, whose contract was not renewed at Scunthorpe United, free transfer to Hull City. Dawson is known for his dangerous long-range shots, which he had already achieved some goals. At the end of the 2006/07 season Dawson was elected to Hull City 's Player of the Year. Together with his teammates Ian Ashbee, Boaz Myhill and Ryan France he formed a band that plays songs for their club. After promotion to the Premier League, the highest English league in the 2007/ 08 season Dawson celebrated 16 August 2008 in a 2-1 home win over Fulham his debut in the Premier League.
