Andrew John "Andy" Marshall ( born April 14, 1975 in Bury St Edmunds ) is an English football goalkeeper who is currently at FC Millwall under contract.

Career

Youth

Andrew Marshall began his career with Norwich City.

Professional career

His professional debut came on 27 December 1994 away game against Nottingham Forest at the age of 19 years after the first goalkeeper Bryan Gunn was injured. At the beginning of the next season Bryan Gunn was reinstated so that Marshall was hired, first to Bournemouth and then to Gillingham. As the goalie back at Norwich City he played was strong and became a crowd favorite at Carrow Road. At the end of the season 2000/ 01 Marshall was elected by the supporters player of the season.

His expiring contract, he did not renew and moved to Ipswich Town, a close rival of canaries ( The Canaries ). In Ipswich the acceptance of the fans was missing because of his past at Norwich City so he was first awarded to Wolverhampton Wanderers and, shortly thereafter, Millwall FC, who then committed him. After a total of two years with the lions Marshall moved to Coventry City. In the 2009/10 season, Marshall was at Aston Villa under contract.
