Andy McDermott

Andy McDermott ( born July 2, 1974 in Halifax ( West Yorkshire ), England ) is a British thriller writer.

Life

Andy McDermott worked before his writing career as a journalist and editor for various magazines and newspapers. Then he started writing novels. His first thriller " The Hunt for Atlantis" was released in 2007 at Headline Publishing Group. In Germany it was published in 2008 in the Goldmann Verlag. He has since written five successor volumes, of which the second ( " The grave of Hercules " ) are expected to appear in German in the spring of 2011.

Style

Andy McDermott writes adventure thriller with escalating action sequences, which are similar to the style of Matthew Reilly. The main character is the archaeologist Nina Wilde, always supported by her bodyguard Eddie Chase. It goes into each novel about a lost civilization, artifacts, or other topics related to archaeological areas.
