Andy Phillip

Andrew Michael Phillip ( born March 7, 1922 in Granite City, Illinois, † April 29, 2001 in Rancho Mirage, California ) was an American professional basketball player. Between 1947 and 1958 he played in the NBA for the crews of the Chicago Stags, Philadelphia Warriors, Fort Wayne Pistons and Boston Celtics. Phillip was 1.88 m tall and played on the position of point guard. He is next to Bob Cousy and Dick McGuire as one of the best playmakers in the 1950s.

Philip was taken in 1961 for his career performance as a player in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
