Andy Wilkinson

Andrew Gordon "Andy" Wilkinson ( born August 8, 1984 in Stone) is an English footballer who plays mainly in defense. He is currently under contract at Stoke City.

Even in his youth played for Wilkinson Stoke City at the Youth Academy of the association. His chances for an earlier debut in the first teams were prevented by several injuries. Also in the season 2005/2006 Wilkinson had to contend with some injuries particularly with the knee. The diagnosed him with tendonitis forced in to a break of four months. In March, the same season he was able to celebrate his comeback. But this was only for a short time, because after three games he was injured again - this time at the ankle. As good as he also played for Stoke, he was nevertheless borrowed in succession at Telford United, Partick Thistle and Shrewsbury Town. During 2006, he was loaned to Blackpool, this measure should fall permanently, but Blackpool had no interest in a transfer.
