Aneby Municipality

Aneby is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Jönköping County, the historical province of Småland. The main town of the municipality is Aneby.

Geography

The municipality is located in the southern Swedish highlands, which is crossed by valleys. About 70 % of the area is forested, the rest is arable and pasture land.

Economy

The municipality is located in a traditional agricultural and forestry area. About 20 % of the workforce are employed in agriculture. The industry, which employs 40 % of the workforce is strong, the wood processing industry dominates.
