Ángel Casero

Ángel Luis Casero Moreno ( born September 27, 1972 in Albalat dels Tarongers, Valencia Province ) is a retired Spanish road bicycle racer.

Career

Ángel Casero 1994 professional cycling team at the Spanish Banesto ( cycling team ). The greatest success of his career was winning the Vuelta a España in 2001. He denied the Vuelta a España ten times and was in 2000 as second and sixth place in 2002. At the Tour de France in 1999 he was fifth. The title at the Spanish road championships in 1998 and 1999 was his best results in the one-day races.

After the 2005 season Casero ended his career. In 2006, it was announced that the name Casero has been identified as one of the customers of the accused Eufemiano Fuentes in the investigation because of the doping scandal Fuentes by the Guardia Civil.
