Angel N. Lagdameo received on 19 December 1964, the ordination. John Paul II appointed him on 19 June 1980 as Titular Bishop of Oreto and Auxiliary Bishop of Cebu.
He received his episcopal consecration by the Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, Bruno Torpigliani, on 12 August of the same year; Ricardo Jamin Vidal were co-consecrators, Archbishop of Lipa, and José Tomás Sánchez, Bishop of Lucena.
On 31 January 1986, he was named the Pope for Coadjutor Bishop of Dumaguete. After the retirement Epifanio Surban Belmonte he followed this May 30, 1989 in the office of Bishop of Dumaguete and he was introduced to the office on August 2 of the same year. On March 11, 2000, he was appointed Archbishop of Jaro.
