Angel of Retribution (English for " Angel of Retribution " ) is the 15th studio album by the British heavy metal band Judas Priest. The album was released on March 1, 2005 as a CD, DualDisc and in a version with CD and DVD. As a record, the album was first released by the record label, Back on Black in 2010. The many editions of the album included DVD or the DVD side of the DualDisc edition includes not only a documentation of the Reunited Tour from 2004 Recorded live there seven songs from the earlier years of the band, including the Joan Baez cover Diamonds & Rust.
Formation
It is the first album after the return of vocalist Rob Halford the band, the two previous albums Jugulator and Demolition had been sung by Tim Owens.
Produced Angel of Retribution by Roy Z and Tom Allom, for the cover art drew Mark Wilkinson responsible, whose work previously, among other things, all of Judas Priest albums since Ram It Down (1988 ) and Glenn Tipton solo album Baptizm of Fire ed.

Reception
While James Christopher Monger of Allmusic the performance of the band as a "half-hearted " and the music of Angel of Retribution as designated "Heavy Metal to rule", the album went in the German music magazine Rock Hard, nine out of ten possible points and was among the top ten Album of the month out. Götz Kühnemund pointed in his criticism of Angel of Retribution multiple parallels to the last Judas -Priest album before the exit Rob Halford, Painkiller, and stated the band had " done its job ".
The album reached # 13 on the Billboard 200 and # 5 on the German album charts.
