Angela Bettis
Angela Bettis ( born January 9, 1973 in Austin, Texas as Angela Marie Bettis ) is an American actress.
Life and achievements
Bettis made his debut in the lead role of Maria in the Italian -Japanese Movie Drama Zeffirelli Sparrow of Franco Zeffirelli from 1993. In the film drama Girl, Interrupted (1999) she played alongside Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie. In 1999, she received the Rising Star Award at the Marco Iceland Film Festival.
In the horror film May - The seamstress of Death ( 2002) Bettis played the leading role of May Dove Canady. For this role she won in 2002 a prize from the Festival Internacional de Cinema de Catalunya and in 2003 a price of Semana Internacional de Cine Fantastico de Málaga and the Silver Raven of the Brussels International Festival of Fantasy Film. She was also nominated in 2003 for the Online Film Critics Society Award. In the horror film Carrie (2002 ), a remake of Carrie - Satan ' youngest daughter, she took over the lead role of Carrie White. In the thriller novel (2006) Bettis worked as a director and editor.
Bettis is married to the editor, director, film producer, screenwriter, cinematographer and actor Kevin Ford since 2001. She and her husband own the production company MoFreek, which produced numerous short films; Bettis worked in several films as a producer.
