Angela Sommer-Bodenburg

Angela Sommer-Bodenburg (born 18 December 1948 in Reinbek, Schleswig -Holstein ) is a German children's book author, painter and former elementary school teacher. She was known for her books about the little vampire.

Life

Angela Sommer-Bodenburg studied pedagogy, psychology and sociology, and then worked for 12 years as an elementary school teacher in Hamburg. Besides her work as a teacher, she had her first two books published in 1979: A published by Suhrkamp of poems titled Sarah with the wolves and Rowohlt The Little Vampire

According to her own statement drew and painted Angela Sommer - floor castle as a little child very much and regularly borrowed books from the town library.
