Angelica Singleton Van Buren

Angelica Singleton Van Buren ( * February 13, 1818; † 29 December 1877 in New York City ) was the daughter of the 8th U.S. President Martin Van Buren.

She was married to his son, Abraham Van Buren since 1838. Shortly after their marriage the couple went on a long trip through Europe. In 1839 they returned to the States.

From 1837 to 1841 she served as U.S. First Lady, as Hannah Van Buren, wife of the President, had already died. After Martin's presidency ended in 1841, Angelica and Abraham lived in Kinderhook.

From 1848 until her death she lived in New York City.
