Angelo Minich

Angelo Minich (* 1817, † 1893) was an Italian surgeon.

He was Chair of Surgery at Padua, Ospedale dei Santi primary of Giovanni e Paolo in Venice, Veneto di Scienze President of the Istituto, Lettere ed Arti, which he bequeathed his library. Besides the already described to Ponte Minich public clocks, which he bequeathed to the Venetian population, he gave the municipality a powerful clock that still works today and is in a room next to the council chamber. His will, dated September 25, 1889, a notarial act by the notary Giuseppe Marcocchia, in point 14 contains the provision: " lascio al Comune di Venezia trentamilalire affinchè siano istituti gli orologi nella città di Venezia elettrici by commodo ed utilità dei cittadini " ( I leave the city Venice thirty thousand lire are thus built electric clocks for the convenience and benefit of the citizens ).
