Anglet Hormadi Élite (short Hormadi ) is a French ice hockey club from Anglet, which was founded in 1969 and has been playing for the season 2007/ 08 both in the French Division 3, as well as in the Spanish Superliga.

History

Anglet Hormadi Élite was founded in 1969 and abolished in the 1996/97 season for the first time the rise in the Ligue Magnus, the highest French Hockey League. Previously, she drew attention to during the lockout in the 1994/95 NHL season, when the Canadian ice hockey player Brian Propp at the then second division ended his career. In the 2000 /01 season the team reached the final of the Ligue Magnus for the first time. Two years later, Anglet also reached for the first time the finals of the Coupe de France, but again subject to one.

After Anglet Hormadi Élite (until 2011 Orques d' Anglet ) in the season 2006/ 07 it was clear as a sporting relegated from the Ligue Magnus, the French Ice Hockey Federation, the Fédération Française de hockey sur glace refused to allow the club to join the second class Division 1 because the club had financial difficulties. After months of negotiations, we finally agreed that Anglet was demoted to the fourth-rate Division 3 and was allowed parallel, competing in the Spanish Super League, the highest ice hockey league in the country. In their first season in Spain Anglet Hormadi reached the final of the Spanish Cup and reached the semi-finals of the Spanish Cup Hockey.
