Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea

The Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea is a member church of the Anglican Communion and is limited to the eastern half of the island of New Guinea.

It counts 166 046 believers here, corresponding to a share of 3.2 % of the total population. The church, headed by the Primate of the Archbishop of Papua New Guinea is, is divided into five dioceses ( Aipo Rongo, Dogura, New Guinea Islands, Popondota, Port Moresby ) and counted in early 2002 118 communities with 173 priests.

The Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea has no women's ordination.
